Frequently Asked Questions
-
You’re welcome to get in touch through email or the contact form here. We can then arrange a suitable time for you.
-
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to begin getting to know one another. We can explore together what has brought you to counselling, what you might be looking for, and whether this feels like the right space for you.
-
As a person-centred counsellor, I offer a supportive and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely, and come to your own sense of clarity rather than giving advice or directing you.
-
What you share in our session will be held in confidence. However, there are a few ethical and legal limits to this, which will be explained clearly in our first session, so you can feel informed and safe.
-
Sessions are usually weekly, providing a consistent space. Nonetheless, this can be shaped around what feels right for you.
-
Not at all. You are welcome to bring whatever is on your mind, or simply begin where you are. There is no expectation to have things figured out beforehand.
